Auburn football notebook: Defense delivers in SEC win - Auburn University Athletics

Auburn’s recruiting efforts have the Tigers in striking distance to land one of the Lone Star State’s best prep prospects.

Ranked as the #66 recruit nationally by Rivals, Kiotti Armstrong is a versatile athlete who can play as an edge rusher or play tight end. Hailing from Jasper (Texas) High School in the eastern section of the state, watching Armstrong’s film showcases a player who’s equally adept on either side of the football.

It’s day three of the spring window of the NCAA transfer portal and the Auburn football coaching staff is staying busy. They already hosted former Indiana defensive lineman Philip Blidi on campus this week, and the experienced DL left with a high opinion of the Tigers and their program.

This weekend, two more transfers will make their way to the Plains. The first is former Arkansas State edge rusher Keyron Crawford. A 3-star prospect out of high school in Memphis, TN, Crawford played two seasons with the Red Wolves and saw game action in 10 games as a true freshman.
