BREAKING NEWS: West Ham optimistic of signing £40M premier league star

West Ham United are optimistic about beating Newcastle United in the race for Wolves captain Max Kilman this summer.

According to the Times, West Ham United are stepping up their efforts to sign Max Kilman and remain optimistic about victory over Newcastle United for the Wolves captain.

The Midlands side rejected offers from both teams as they would consider offers close to the player’s £40m valuation.

West Ham optimistic about Max Kilman Max Kilman has had a decent season for Wolves under Gary O’Neil, as he continues to attract interest from West Ham United and Newcastle United.

The defender may see the wisdom of leaving Wolves for a suitable project, as he could reunite with former coach Julen Lopetegui at the London Stadium.

The Hammers failed in their bid to sign the defender for around £30 million.

Wolves are demanding around £40-50 million from suitors and some believe the £40 million offer is enough for West Ham to attempt to sign the Wolves captain.

Lopetegui wants reinforcements at the back, as West Ham have tried their luck with a few defenders, while they remain linked with others.

Fenerbahce’s Jayden Oosterwolde is believed to be planning a move, as they failed to lure Fabricio Bruno from Flamengo despite agreeing a fee to sign the Brazilian defender.

As for the pursuit of Kilman, many believe the Hammers will come back with a new offer.

However, they need to come very close to Wolves’ valuation of the £40m Premier League captain, otherwise West Ham could suffer another blow in their bid to sign a new defender .

Can West Ham beat Newcastle because of Kilman?

The Hammers are optimistic about beating Newcastle United to Kilman’s signature.

The Magpies also had their offer rejected by Wolves as they could have offered similar terms to what West Ham offered the Wolves captain.

Eddie Howe sees Kilman as a strong target and could lure the club back with an improved offer.

Neither club will be in Europe next season, although their respective long-term projects could be key to convincing Kilman to leave, although West Ham could have the upper hand with Lopetegui’s presence.
