Taylor Swift was quite aware with the song Simone Biles picked to begin her floor routine at Friday’s 2024 US Olympic trials.
Biles had a standout floor routine on day 2 of the competition, which began with Swift’s famous song “Ready for It.” Bringing the intensity, Biles performed a series of flips in her quest to make the 2024 Olympic gymnastics team.
Swift, 34, became aware of the video after it was published on the official US Olympic and Paralympics X (formerly Twitter) account.
“I’ve watched this so many times and I’m still not ready. “She’s ready for it tho ❤️,” Swift responded to the video on Saturday while on her Eras Tour run in Dublin.
The Olympic trials completed on Sunday, with the announcement of the official women’s gymnastics team.
Biles, a 37-time Olympic winner, has secured her berth and will travel to Paris for her third Olympic Games. Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and 16-year-old Junior World silver champion Hezly Rivera round out the team.
Biles’ return to the games follows her dramatic exit from the 2020 Tokyo games due to a mental block during the competition known in the gymnastics industry as the “twisties.”
Biles and a host of other American athletes will travel to Paris later this month to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games, which begin on July 23.
Swift is now in the middle of her Eras Tour, which concluded with a weekend performance in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday. Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, and Julia Roberts, a lifelong Swift fan, were in the VIP section cheering her on.
