Caitlin Clark being left off of the Team USA women’s basketball roster has sparked quite a debate. Team USA officially announced the 12 members with a viral social media post on Tuesday, so the reality of Clark not being there has set in.
However, popular sports reporter Pat Forde chimed in with his thoughts on Clark’s omission from the roster and said it is “irrelevant” (h/t Yahoo Sports):
“You want to talk about a basically irrelevant argument, they are winning the gold with her or they are winning it without her. And they are winning it easy, with her or without her. From that standpoint, whatever…It’s not gonna make you win. You’re already going to win. Her time’s going to come. She’ll be there 2028.”
