Excitement and joy have hit the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball community as Head Coach Kelly Sheffield and his wife, Cathy Arnette Sheffield, celebrate the arrival of a new member in their family. The couple, who have long been pillars of support and leadership for the Badgers women’s volleyball program, shared the heartwarming news with close friends, family, and the university community earlier this week.

 

Coach Sheffield, who has led the Badgers to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and a national championship in 2021, expressed his delight, stating, “This is truly a blessing for our family. Cathy and I are overjoyed and grateful for this new chapter in our lives.”

 

Cathy Arnette Sheffield, herself a former collegiate volleyball standout, has been actively involved in mentoring student-athletes and supporting the program alongside her husband. Friends and colleagues have described the Sheffields as a “dream team” both on and off the court.

 

The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball community has rallied to celebrate the news, with current players and alumni sending heartfelt congratulations to the couple. Social media was abuzz with messages of support, reflecting the deep connection the Sheffields have fostered within the program.

 

This joyful announcement comes during a high-energy season for the Badgers, who are currently competing at the top of the Big Ten Conference. Fans and players alike are sharing in the excitement of this personal milestone for their beloved coach and his family.
