Evacuation orders lifted after wildfires reported across East Tennessee
Emergency officials across the region responded to several wildfires Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
TENNESSEE, USA — Several wildfires took place across East Tennessee on Tuesday, prompting evacuation notices in Cumberland, Monroe and Sevier counties. By Wednesday night, those evacuation orders were mostly over.
Dry weather and low humidity this week prompted high fire danger, sparking several Red Flag Warnings across the region. Previously, evacuation orders were issued in Sevier County due to a fire in the Tower Road area. However, those evacuation orders were lifted by Wednesday afternoon
