Tragedy struck the Tampa Bay Rays organization on Tuesday evening when the team’s bus was involved in a devastating accident on their way to a road game against the New York Yankees.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus crashed on the highway, leaving several players and staff members injured.
“It’s a terrible day for the Rays organization,” said team owner, Stuart Sternberg. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the players and staff members who were injured in the accident.”
The extent of the injuries is not yet known, but the team has confirmed that no one was killed in the accident.

The team was on their way to a road game against the New York Yankees when the bus crashed on the highway.
“We are deeply concerned about the well-being of our players and staff members who were injured in the accident,” said Rays manager, Kevin Cash. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.”
The Rays have postponed their game against the Yankees, which was scheduled for Wednesday evening.
