TRAGIC REPORT: Deadly Blaze Devastates Lenoir Tennessee City Multiple Homes Destroyed in Tragic Fire Affecting…..Those guys came down several times during our time of need and they were here as long as we needed them and they did exactly what we needed them to do so we are going up there as troops so we are going up there to do exactly what they need us to do,” Williams said.
They will spend four days over there, working night shifts, helping in any way they can along with several other crews from different counties here in the east.
Lenoir deputies are hoping to get to know those people over in need on a more personal level and let them know they are here for them.
Those people are in great need right now. I wish we had the means to take the whole department but we are going to give every little bit that we can give,” Deputy, Michael Williams said.
They will assist with the sheriff’s office in Madison County, also affected by Helene.
“This particular sheriff’s office lost a deputy in the storm so it’s just a very touchy situation,” Rogers said.
According to Williams, in the face of devastating storms that have impacted us in the East, the West was always here to help, so now it’s time to return the favor.
