Tragedy struck the hockey world earlier today, as a plane carrying the Calgary Wranglers ice hockey team crashed just minutes after takeoff, resulting in multiple fatalities.
According to reports, the plane was headed to Tucson, Arizona, where the Wranglers were scheduled to play the Tucson Roadrunners in an AHL matchup. The crash occurred at approximately 10:45 am local time, with eyewitnesses describing a massive explosion and fireball upon impact.
