Tragedy Strikes: Massive Fire Engulfs Minnesota’s Largest Restaurant and Bar, Sparked by Kitchen Grease – 12 Vikings Players Dead, 7 Injured read more…..

A devastating fire tore through Minnesota’s largest restaurant and bar late Wednesday night, claiming the lives of 12 Minnesota Vikings players and injuring seven others. Officials have confirmed the blaze was ignited by a grease fire in the kitchen, which quickly spread through the building’s ventilation system.

According to fire investigators, the blaze began around 9:15 p.m. during a private team event hosted at the popular establishment. Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang from the kitchen area, followed by thick smoke and flames rapidly engulfing the dining and bar areas.

“It happened so fast. One minute we were laughing and eating, the next we were running for our lives,” said one unnamed staff member who managed to escape. “The smoke was everywhere, and the heat was unbearable.”

Firefighters arrived on the scene within minutes, but the fire had already spread beyond control. It took over three hours and more than 60 emergency personnel to fully contain the flames.

Authorities believe the fire was caused by a grease buildup in the kitchen’s exhaust hood and ductwork, which ignited during routine cooking. Despite passing its last inspection, the system had reportedly not been cleaned in several months.

The Minnesota Vikings organization released a statement early Thursday morning expressing their heartbreak:

“We are devastated by the tragic loss of twelve of our beloved players in last night’s fire. Our hearts go out to their families, teammates, and fans across the country. We are working closely with authorities to support the investigation and offer support to all those affected.”

The names of the victims have not yet been released pending family notification. The seven injured players are being treated at nearby hospitals, with three reported to be in critical condition.

Local officials have declared a period of mourning, and the NFL has announced that upcoming Vikings games will be postponed until further notice.

As investigations continue into the fire’s cause and the restaurant’s compliance with safety protocols, the community remains in shock over the tragic loss of life.
