Columbia, SC – In a shocking turn of events, University of South Carolina Gamecocks’ star quarterback Spencer Rattler suffered a season-ending injury during Saturday’s game against rival Clemson.
According to sources close to the team, Rattler’s injury occurred while celebrating a touchdown with an overexuberant dance move, which left him with a severe case of “Dance-Induced Groin Strain” (DIGS).
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Gamecocks’ Coach Shane Beamer. “Spencer’s enthusiasm is contagious, but unfortunately, it’s also contagious to his hamstrings.”
Rattler, known for his impressive quarterback skills and signature dance moves, underwent successful surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
The Gamecocks have announced plans to hold a “Dance Safety Clinic” for all players to prevent future injuries.
