REPORT: Michigan sign-stealing scandal was tipped to NCAA by own school, not Ohio State.

Ohio State did not play a role in tipping the NCAA to Michigan football’s sign-stealing scandal, according to documents obtained by Yahoo Sports

More details emerged Tuesday regarding the Michigan sign-stealing fiasco, with the Wolverines set to fight the NCAA over the severity of the violations, according to documents obtained by Yahoo Sports.

 

Previous reports had swirled, however, that Ohio State may have somehow played a role in tipping the NCAA to the Wolverines’ sign-stealing scandal. According to Michigan’s letter to the NCAA, it was actually an unnamed source from within the Wolverines’ own campus who tipped the organization.
