The Manhattan-born musician was ‘heartbroken’ when he ‘sustained vocal cord damage that led to subsequent bleeding’ during Aerosmith’s final concert on September 9, 2023 at New York’s UBS Arena.
Two months later, Steven shared an encouraging snap of him remixing the four-time Grammy-winning band’s latest recordings in the studio while his ‘throat was on the mend.’
But all hope was lost on August 2 when Aerosmith issued a statement announcing their retirement after Tyler ‘spent months tirelessly working on getting’ his four-octave tenor pipes to where they were before his injury.
