FAYETTEVILLE — A lot of hours on the phone and in the film room are in Sam Pittman’s future.
The spring transfer portal opens Wednesday and runs through April 25, and Arkansas football is poised to be an active player in college football’s free-agency period. Pittman spoke to the media Tuesday recapping the Hogs’ scrimmage over the weekend, but a majority of his time at the microphone was spent discussing Arkansas’ plans over the next 10 days.
Pittman said if the Razorbacks don’t lose anyone through the portal, he’d like to add five players to the roster. That number could go up if there are any surprise departures, but Arkansas feels good about keeping its starters and second-team players this cycle.
