In a surprise move, McCluskey revealed plans to open “McCluskey’s Museum of Synths,” a state-of-the-art facility showcasing his vast collection of vintage synthesizers.
“I’ve spent decades collecting these incredible instruments,” McCluskey explained. “It’s time to share them with the world.”
The museum, slated to open in 2025, will feature:
1. *Over 500 vintage synthesizers*, including rare models from Moog, Roland and Korg.
2. *Interactive exhibits*, allowing visitors to play and experiment with the instruments.
3. *OMD memorabilia*, including stage costumes, tour programs and historic photographs.
McCluskey’s retirement marks the end of an era for OMD, but fans can still experience his legacy through the museum.
“We’re thrilled to see Andy’s passion project come to life,” said OMD bandmate Paul Humphreys. “The museum will inspire future generations of musicians and synth enthusiasts.”
