A 32-year-old man was arrested at SoFi Stadium during the Los Angeles Rams’ recent game against the Philadelphia Eagles for allegedly selling counterfeit tickets to unsuspecting fans.
According to stadium security, the impersonator posed as a ticket vendor and was selling fake tickets to fans outside the stadium before the game. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was caught by security personnel after a fan reported suspicious activity.
“We take the safety and security of our fans very seriously,” said a spokesperson for SoFi Stadium. “We work closely with law enforcement to identify and apprehend individuals who engage in fraudulent activity.”
The suspect was turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department and was booked for felony counterfeiting. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
The incident serves as a reminder to fans to be cautious when purchasing tickets from third-party vendors. The LA Rams and SoFi Stadium urge fans to only purchase tickets from authorized sellers, such as the stadium’s box office or official ticketing websites.
“Fans should always be wary of deals that seem too good to be true,” said a spokesperson for the LA Rams. “We want to ensure that all of our fans have a safe and enjoyable experience at our games.”
To avoid falling victim to ticket scams, fans can take the following precautions:
– Only purchase tickets from authorized sellers
– Verify the authenticity of tickets before making a purchase
– Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true
– Report any suspicious activity to stadium security or law enforcement
