A Night of Purpose and Passion
The “Be the Ball” event has quickly become one of the most anticipated off-field gatherings in Tampa Bay, and this year was no exception. The Mayfields, known for their active role in community initiatives, curated an unforgettable night of golf-themed festivities, auctions, and appearances from local legends and NFL stars—all in the name of helping young people thrive.
Emily Mayfield, co-founder of the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation, addressed attendees with heartfelt words: “We started this because we wanted to create lasting impact. Seeing the community show up like this—it means everything.”
Bowles Commends Leadership On and Off the Field
Coach Todd Bowles, in attendance alongside other Bucs staff and players, praised the Mayfields not only for their athletic contributions but for their deep community commitment.
“Baker’s leadership on the field is matched by the way he and Emily lead off of it,” Bowles said. “This event shows the kind of culture we’re building in Tampa Bay—not just winning games, but making a difference.”
A Winning Weekend for the Bucs
As if the event weren’t thrilling enough, the Buccaneers brought even more excitement earlier in the day at Raymond James Stadium. The offense racked up 241 total yards, and rookie wide receiver Tez Johnson dazzled fans with breakout plays that earned him praise from the coaching staff. Tampa Bay’s return game also turned heads, delivering some of the most explosive moments of the matchup.
From the field to the foundation, the Mayfields and the Buccaneers proved they’re a force both in competition and in compassion.
