The Seattle Mariners have officially approved a sweeping $1.5 billion stadium renovation project, set to begin in early 2025, ushering in a bold new era for the franchise known as the Green Machine and its devoted fanbase.
After months of negotiations with local authorities, private investors, and the Washington State Stadium Authority, the Mariners’ ownership group received unanimous approval late Sunday night to move forward with the largest capital investment in team history.
“This isn’t just about baseball. It’s about building a future,” said Mariners CEO Catie Griggs in a press release Monday morning. “We’re creating a world-class venue for a world-class fan base. The new T-Mobile Park will be a symbol of pride for Seattle for generations to come.”
