Breaking news:The Mavericks have signed Moses Brown to a 10

In response to a series of injuries depleting their frontcourt, the Dallas Mavericks have signed 7-foot-2 center Moses Brown to a 10-day contract, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania. This move aims to bolster the team’s interior presence with key players like Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively II expected to be sidelined for an extended period.

Moses Brown is no stranger to the Mavericks organization, having played 26 games for Dallas during the 2021-2022 NBA season. Since then, he has had stints with multiple teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Brooklyn Nets. This season, Brown has been showcasing his skills with the Westchester Knicks in the NBA G League, averaging an impressive 15.6 points, 14.9 rebounds, and approximately one block per game. His performance earned him a brief call-up to the Indiana Pacers in November, where he appeared in nine games.

The Mavericks’ decision to bring back Brown comes at a critical juncture, as the team has been grappling with a thin frontcourt due to injuries. In their final game before the All-Star break, Dallas was without big men Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively II, Dwight Powell, P.J. Washington, and Anthony Davis. Brown’s familiarity with the team’s system and his recent strong performances in the G League make him a fitting addition to the roster during this challenging period.

As the Mavericks prepare to resume their season, Brown’s presence is expected to provide much-needed depth and defensive support in the paint. Fans will be eager to see how his return influences the team’s performance in the upcoming games.
