BREAKING NEWS: Max Scherzer, a Hall of Fame pitcher, will rejoin the Blue Jays in Cleveland on…..

Blue Jays right-hander Max Scherzer is officially set to return to the mound this Wednesday in Cleveland, as the Blue Jays face off against the

Guardians at Progressive Field.

Scherzer, a three-time Cy Young Award winner and likely future Hall of Famer, has been sidelined since late March with a thumb injury. After several weeks of rehab and pitching workouts, team officials have confirmed that he is ready to rejoin the rotation.

This will mark Scherzer’s first start since his abbreviated season debut on March 29, when he exited after just three innings due to discomfort. The Blue Jays are expected to manage his workload carefully as he eases back into full game action.

The 40-year-old veteran signed a one-year, $15.5 million deal with Toronto this past offseason, bringing over a wealth of postseason experience and leadership. His return could provide a critical boost to a Blue Jays pitching staff that has struggled with depth and consistency early this season.
