The announcement came early this morning in a surprise press release from the Fever front office, followed by a packed press conference at Gainbridge Fieldhouse that had fans, media, and even rival coaches buzzing with excitement.
“It feels like coming home,” said DeMoss, standing proudly at center court, greeted with roaring applause. “I never stopped believing in this organization, and I’m here to help bring championship basketball back to Indiana.”
DeMoss, whose name is etched in Fever history for her leadership and fierce commitment to player development, coached the team during a pivotal era and helped lay the foundation for its long-term success. Known for her defensive genius and mentorship of rising stars, her return is being hailed as a “game-changer” by analysts across the league.
“You can feel the energy shift already,” said Fever star guard Kelsey Mitchell. “Coach DeMoss brings a championship mindset, and we’re ready to go to war for her.”
As Senior Coaching Strategist, DeMoss will work closely with the head coach and front office to shape game plans, mentor staff, and develop the Fever’s young talent — with her eyes set squarely on playoff contention.
Fans are already flooding social media with messages of support, calling this the “DeMoss Effect” and celebrating what they see as the beginning of a bold new chapter for Indiana basketball.
