In an unprecedented act of generosity and leadership, Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has announced that he is donating his entire $1.8 million performance bonus and endorsement contract earnings to charities supporting homelessness, youth development, and mental health awareness across Canada.
The 58-year-old coach, who recently signed an extension with the Maple Leafs after helping lead the team through one of its most promising seasons in years, made the emotional announcement at a press event at Scotiabank Arena earlier today.
