Bravo to Netflix fans and NASCAR enthusiasts alike — the streaming giant has officially announced that “Full Speed” Season 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to their hit documentary series about the world of NASCAR, will be released in May 2025.
Following the overwhelming success of Season 1, which gave viewers an unfiltered, high-octane look at the lives of drivers, crew chiefs, and the intense world of stock car racing, Season 2 promises even more drama, competition, and behind-the-scenes access.
In addition to fan-favorite William Byron, who returns to the spotlight after a breakout season, the new installment will feature deeper dives into the stories of Kyle Larson, Bubba Wallace, and rookie sensation Zane Smith. Netflix also teased new rivalries and “shocking team moves” that occurred during the 2024 Cup Series.
“This season will take fans beyond the track,” said executive producer Gina Matthews. “We’re exploring how drivers handle pressure, fame, and the shifting politics of the sport. NASCAR is evolving — and so are its stars.”
The series will once again be produced in collaboration with NASCAR and Box to Box Films, the same team behind Drive to Survive, ensuring the signature cinematic feel and raw emotional storytelling that viewers have come to expect.
Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, each running approximately 45 minutes, and will be available for streaming globally on May 17, 2025.
Fans can expect a new trailer to drop later this month. Start your engines — Full Speed is back and faster than ever.
