Cincinnati, OH – In a stunning move, Cincinnati Bengals’ superstar quarterback Joe Burrow announced his retirement from football today to pursue a career as a professional chef.
Burrow, 27, cited his passion for cooking and desire to explore new culinary horizons as reasons for his unexpected departure from the NFL.
“I’ve accomplished everything I set out to do in football,” Burrow said in a statement. “Now, it’s time for me to tackle the world of culinary arts. I’m excited to trade in my helmet for a chef’s hat.”
Burrow plans to enroll in the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and open his own restaurant in Cincinnati.
The Bengals organization expressed gratitude for Burrow’s contributions and wished him well in his new endeavors.
