Caleb Cunningham, the No. 1 wide receiver in Alabama, has announced his commitment to the University of Alabama’s football program.¹ ² Cunningham, a five-star recruit, chose Alabama over other top programs like Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound multi-sport standout from Choctaw County High School was impressed by Alabama’s resources and coaching staff, particularly wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard, who has a reputation for developing top receivers.
Cunningham’s commitment is a significant win for Alabama’s new head coach, Kalen DeBoer, who is looking to build on the program’s tradition of producing top receivers. With Cunningham on board, Alabama’s recruiting class for 2025 is shaping up to be one of the best in the country.
Interestingly, Cunningham initially committed to Alabama but later flipped his commitment to Ole Miss.³ However, it seems he has now reaffirmed his commitment to the Crimson Tide.
