For Dean Henderson, the talented goalkeeper of Crystal Palace F.C., football has always been the main focus. “When I first met Millie, I’ll admit she wasn’t what I expected,” Henderson revealed with a laugh. “My mind was fully on footy and I wasn’t looking for anything else.”

“But partner Millie, she was different,” Henderson explained. “She had this spark about her. She was confident, full of energy, and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.”
According to Henderson, it was Millie’s authenticity and strong personality that first caught his attention. She wasn’t intimidated by the world of professional football and treated him just like any other person — something he found refreshing.
“At the time, I wasn’t sure how things would go,” he admitted. “But the more I got to know her, the more I realized how special she is.”
As their relationship grew, Millie became an important source of support for Henderson, especially during the demanding moments of his career. Goalkeepers often carry immense responsibility, knowing that a single mistake can change the outcome of a match. Having someone who understands and supports him off the pitch made a huge difference.
Now, Henderson says Millie is far more than just his partner — she is someone who keeps him grounded and reminds him of what truly matters in life.
“She’s always there through the good games and the tough ones,” he said. “She believes in me, even when things aren’t going perfectly.”
