— In a stunning act of generosity and leadership, Milwaukee Bucks superstar and reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has donated his entire $20 million postseason bonus and recent sponsorship earnings to a network of charities focused on homeless relief, youth development, and food insecurity.
The donation — which ranks among the largest single-player contributions in NBA history — will be distributed across a coalition of nonprofit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Feeding America, Wounded Warrior Project, and several Milwaukee-based shelters and outreach programs.
In a heartfelt press conference this morning, Giannis spoke candidly about his decision:
“There are millions of people struggling every day — families without homes, kids without food, veterans without support. And I can’t just live in luxury while others are suffering,” said Antetokounmpo. “I’ve been blessed beyond anything I could have imagined. It’s time to use that blessing to make a real impact.”
Sources close to Antetokounmpo say the decision came after a recent off-season trip to Athens, Greece — where he was born — and a visit to several refugee shelters and housing projects in Milwaukee.
