Joseph Quinn says he has ‘big boots to fill’ in the Fantastic Four role after Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan (Exclusive)

Joseph Quinn is planning to make Johnny Storm his own — but gives major props to those who have paved the way by playing the superhero onscreen.

Speaking with PEOPLE for this week’s issue ahead of the release of his new horror-thriller A Quiet Place: Day One, the 30-year-old actor says he hasn’t spoken with Chris Evans or Michael B. Jordan, who have played the Fantastic Four character on the big screen in previous iterations.

However, he realizes Evans, 43, and Jordan, 37, have given him “big boots to fill, twice.”

“They’re both brilliant actors and did the amazing job with their interpretation of Johnny,” Quinn says. “So I think it’s a question of trying to find something … well, not different. It’s going to come from me, I guess.”

Adds the Stranger Things alum, “I’ve definitely been inspired by their portrayals, so we’ll see how it goes.
