IT IS DONE: Winnipeg Jets Head coach Scott Arniel Submitted Resignation letter to……. view more

In a stunning twist that has the hockey world buzzing, Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel has officially submitted his resignation letter — not to the front office, not to GM Kevin Cheveldayoff, but reportedly… to a Tim Hortons drive-thru attendant.

Yes, you read that right.

The bizarre event unfolded early Thursday morning when Arniel, reportedly seeking clarity over a double-double and a Boston cream donut, handed over an envelope with the words “It’s time. Thanks for everything.” scrawled across it. The drive-thru worker, initially thinking it was just a lost bet or a joke, later discovered it was a formal resignation letter addressed “To Whom It May Concern.”

Multiple sources confirm that the letter contained the following:

“I have given all I can to this organization — emotionally, tactically, and caffeine-dependently. The Jets deserve someone who can handle another season of trade rumors, goalie drama, and being asked about power play percentages 300 times a week. I am not that man. PS: Please give this to Chevy.”

While the Jets organization has not made an official announcement, the Tim Hortons location on Portage Avenue has since framed the letter and added “Head Coach Resignations Accepted Here” to their digital menu board.

Players React

Captain Adam Lowry told reporters, “I mean… that’s one way to go out. Respect.”

Kyle Connor added, “I just hope he got his Timbits.”

What’s Next for the Jets?

With Arniel apparently gone, speculation is already swirling. Names like Bruce Boudreau, Sheldon Keefe, and even Paul Maurice (again?!) are trending online. Meanwhile, a fan petition to let Dustin Byfuglien coach “just for one game” has reached 10,000 signatures.
