In a monumental announcement, Golden State Warriors owners Joe Lacob and the Peter Guber family have officially declared that Baron Davis, the legendary point guard and long-time face of the franchise, will return to the organization in 2025 as the Chief Basketball Officer.

Baron Davis, known for electrifying the Oracle Arena with his fearless drives and clutch plays during his tenure with the Warriors, has been a beloved figure in Golden State’s history. His dynamic leadership and basketball IQ made him one of the most exciting players of his era, and fans have long hoped for his return in a front-office capacity.

“Baron brings a unique blend of on-court experience and basketball insight that will be invaluable to the Warriors’ future success,” said Joe Lacob. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to the organization in this key leadership role.”

In his new position, Davis will oversee basketball operations, including player development, scouting, and team strategy, working closely with Head Coach Steve Kerr and General Manager Bob Myers. The move signals the Warriors’ commitment to blending veteran leadership with fresh ideas as they look to maintain their status as an NBA powerhouse.

“I’m excited to come back home to the Warriors and help build the next great chapter of this storied franchise,” said Davis. “This team means so much to me, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Golden State fans are already buzzing with anticipation about Davis’s return and the impact he is expected to have on the team’s future. The Warriors, fresh off a competitive season, seem poised for continued success with Davis back in the fold.
