MotoGP: Francesco Bagnaia and other Italian riders train in Misano and two bikes clash after…

A few days after the Italian Grand Prix MotoGP, Francis Bagnaia and other Italians returned to the circuit with road motorcycles to practice and have fun in Misano.

The highly anticipated Italian Grand Prix took place last weekend, and Mugello was packed with excitement. Francis Bagnaia achieved two significant triumphs for its ranking and morale. He finally won a sprint race and then a long race, going back to -18 points behind leader George Martin. The Kazakhstan GP was supposed to take place in mid-June, but it was postponed, so we’ll have to wait until the end of the month to see everyone back in action in Assen.

MotoGP, Bagnaia trains in Misano; Marini is also there.
Even if the Italian Grand Prix is still relatively new, drivers’ passion to race remains strong, and Pecco Bagnaia went on the Misano Adriatico track on Wednesday and Thursday for practice on the Ducati Panigale V4 S. Other Italian Ducati MotoGP riders that rode alongside him were Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Franco Morbidelli. There was also Luca Marini, who may have had more fun on the Romagna track riding a road bike than he did at Mugello with an uncompetitive Honda RC213V.

Francis Bagnaia tweeted on his official Instagram account, “I’m enjoying the lovely V4 S. And, really, a lap time of 1’35″1 is impressive for a road bike.” The two-time MotoGP world champion was astounded by his speed. During the recent Superbike test in Misano, Toprak Razgatlioglu established the record time of 1’32″5 with the SCQ qualifying tire. In 2023, SuperpoleAlvaro Bautista was in 1’33″017, then he set the best lap of the race in the first heat in 1’33″901.

After training and having fun on the Marco Simoncelli circuit, Pecco and his fellow Italian colleagues will have time to replenish their batteries before heading to Assen. The TT circuit holds a special significance for the factory Ducati rider, who won his first Moto3 race there in 2016. The track layout is also inked on his right arm. He also reached the top of the podium in Moto2 in 2018, followed by MotoGP in 2022 and 2023. There are criteria for him to return as a protagonist.
