In a surprising and emotional move, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has made a public plea to the Ravensโ front office, urging them to sign his former University of Louisville teammate and ex-Green Bay Packers All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander.
The appeal came via Jacksonโs Instagram Live session late Tuesday night, where he told fans, โMan, yโall know what time it is. Go get Jaire. Thatโs family. Thatโs my brother. We built something special in Louisville โ we can do it again here.โ
Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowler, was released by the Packers earlier this week in a cap-saving decision that shocked many around the league. Known for his elite coverage skills and fiery competitiveness, the 28-year-old cornerback is expected to be one of the most sought-after free agents in this late offseason window.
Jackson and Alexander played together at Louisville from 2015 to 2017, forming a tight friendship both on and off the field. Their chemistry and leadership were key to Louisvilleโs strong defensive and offensive units during their shared time.
Sources close to the Ravens front office say discussions about Alexander have occurred internally, but no formal talks with his representation have been confirmed. Baltimore has struggled with secondary depth in recent seasons, making Alexander a potentially perfect fit.
With the Ravens in win-now mode after last seasonโs AFC Championship loss, Jacksonโs endorsement could carry real weight. โItโs not just nostalgia,โ Jackson said. โThis man is still a top-five corner in the league. He brings energy, leadership, and he already knows what weโre about.โ
No official comment has been made by the Ravens or Alexanderโs agent as of press time.
Developing story. Updates to follow.

Lamar Wants His Guy โ And Heโs Right
Lamar Jackson isnโt just Baltimoreโs MVP; heโs the heartbeat of the franchise. So when he goes out of his way to publicly campaign for a
โ especially a former teammate โ itโs time for the Ravens to listen.
Jaire Alexander isnโt washed. He isnโt just a sentimental favorite. Heโs a game-changer who, when healthy, plays at an elite level. And in a league where top-tier corners are gold, finding one who already has chemistry with your quarterback โ from college, no less โ is rare.
The Ravens have seen what happens when their secondary is thin in January. With Marlon Humphreyโs health always a question mark and a schedule that features top-tier receivers weekly, the idea of adding Alexander isnโt just appealing. Itโs necessary.
Signing Jaire Alexander wouldnโt just make Lamar happy. It could help get the Ravens back to the Super Bowl.
