Two-time champions West Indies qualified for the Super Eight stage in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the Caribbean as the second team from Group C, winning three matches with one left to play in the group stage.

West Indies, who sealed their Super 8 spot after victory over New Zealand, remain undefeated in the first round, but will face their biggest test against the Group C toppers Afghanistan in their final group match.

Rovman Powell’s men also have not looked at their best so far, finishing a chase of 137 against Papua New Guinea in the penultimate over followed by a thumping win over Uganda before another narrow escape versus New Zealand to seal their Super 8 spot.
