Huge Setback: Chase Elliott American Professional Stock Racing Driver Just passed Away at the Aged of 28…see..more…But there is more than cars that Elliott drives fast. While most of the drivers fly in private jets to travel to a race, Elliott is no different. However, there is a small difference; he flies his jet himself.The Hendrick Motorsports driver revealed in 2015 that he has a pilot’s license. Chase Elliott has been spotted cutting the air and getting himself to the races on time. Moreover, he also owns a private plane that he takes out for a spin sometimes.

 

The 2006 Cessna 525B Citation CJ3 is a very popular jet produced by Cessna. Elliott has been spotted flying the jet multiple times to races. Although Aviation Alabama claimed in February that he had put the aircraft up for sale.Speaking in an interview with Lindsay Czarniak four years ago, he revealed that he was surrounded with planes as a child due to his father being a pilot, and he was fortunate to learn to fly one himself.

Chase Elliott reveals he flies to “supplement” not going to school or college

The #9 driver revealed in March 2024 during his appearance on the Dale Jr Download podcast that he did not go to school or college and has been racing from an early age. He explained that learning to fly planes and getting a pilot’s license was a way for him to supplement his lack of complete education from a college.

Elliott also explained that he took it as a challenge for his mind.

“I didn’t go to college. I got out of high school that second semester and I came up here and started racing out of this building,” Chase Elliott revealed.

“The flying thing for me has always been just a way for me to continue to challenge my mind and to try and better myself in an educational way. Kind of to supplement the fact that I didn’t go to college and I didn’t go to school. And I just feel like it’s, if I don’t feel like I’m challenging my brain in some way shape or form, I feel like I’m just wasting away.”

Chase Elliott is currently competing in his ninth consecutive season with HMS. He made his full-time debut for the team in 2016. His win at Texas earlier this season secured his place in the playoffs. Currently sitting in 7th place in the playoffs standings, he is relatively safe heading into the final race of the Round of 16.
